Slanted Magazine #45-Sex embarks on a journey into gender, body image and sexuality, created in collaboration with the Munich-based Archive Artist Publications (AAP) under the direction of artist and archivist Hubert Kretschmer. Drawing on one of the world's most extensive private collections of artists' publications, which has amassed over 89,988 rare zines, booklets, posters and other printed matter since the 1980s, this issue presents zines, booklets, posters and publications that explore body politics, self-image and identity from contemporary and historical perspectives.

The Slanted Magazine—#45-Sex invites the reader to question conventions and encourages a critical look at the role of the media in the representation of bodies.
